On a cold and rainy halloween's night, when none of us were expecting to go out, thanks to the determination of our friends, we ended up having a drink and then another...
With over 80% chance of rain, I managed to convince Marilyn to go for a hike in my collection car - an awesome 25 years old 106 kid. Before reaching the start of the hike, rain started pouring down and the hike ended up pretty fast in a coffee shop!
During our second date, Marilyn showed me her coding skills using ViM. She could see sparkles in my eyes...I was conquered! Two weeks later I was meeting my future in-laws...
Back in December, after a month of dating, I told Marilyn I was looking for opportunities abroad. She was enthousiast to the idea of moving down under - as long as I was taking care of all (living) bugs. In April, I got an offer with Amazon in Australia, and a couple of months later, we moved to Sydney.
During a beautiful hike in the Grand Canyon in the Blue mountains, I proposed to Marilyn. She said yes. We went to Bunnings!
